I've been tagged:

Ok, so I guess this just means I write six things about myself that people might not know about me. Then I get to "tag" six more people to do the same thing. Here we go...

1. Something I've really discovered as I've been planning a wedding... I tend to get teary eyed when I am discouraged, overwhelmed, stressed out, and happy. When I am worried I get teared up. I can usually bottle it up, but I know people who could tell you that when I have strong feelings about something, I just might cry.

2. I have to fold my laundry perfectly... like you see in a retail store. I can't stand sloppily folded clothes. At my old job I used to refold all the gym towels just because I didn't like the way they looked on the shelf.

3. I LOVE working out. Lots of people work out religiously because its a healthy habit to have, but I truly do love the pain and effort that comes with a good workout.

4. I can't blow my nose... it makes me dry heave. Maybe my nose is a little more clogged than everyone elses, but it makes no difference to me because I don't know what a blown nose feels like compared to an unblown nose. I've tried... it grosses me out.

5. I have a passion for broadway musicals. I love going to them, I love listening to them, and I love singing along and wishing I was a part of it all. If I could pick any type of music to listen to for the rest of my life it would be broadway musicals and showtunes.

6. Anytime something changes in my life it freaks me out, but I'm getting married on Friday and I find myself completely thrilled and at peace when I think about it. So... that's a good sign.

So now i suppose I tag some people... let's go with:

Staci
Natalie
Erica
Lindsay (sorry if you've already done this)
Michelle Paul
Jason (I don't even know if you have a blog)

The final countdown:

I'm getting married next Friday!!! That's 11 days for those of you who like numbers and 264 hours for those of you who like numbers even more, and that's a mere 15,840 minutes for those of you who for some odd reason actually wonder how many minutes there are in 11 days. Awesome!

Am I Goth, or what?

So I have had this urge the past few weeks to paint my fingernails black... I don't know where I've seen it or what brought on this random idea, but once I even think about trying something new or buying something new... it pretty much happens. I can't stop myself! I get this obsession going in my head and I just have to do it.Now here I am with black fingernails. I painted them last night and I've had all sorts of awesome reactions to my new hotness. My mom: not a fan... Jake: says he likes it, but it's questionable... my customers: say it's "cool", but they don't know me that well, maybe they think I'm a psycho and they're just trying to be nice... my co-workers: think I should keep them black for the wedding... nothing goes better with a white wedding dress than gothic black nails. What d'ya think?? I kinda like them.

Week in Review

I know I'm not the most consistent blogger, but I'm an important person, and I have alot going on in my life, so please just bare with me. I've decided to combine my last week's events into one blog. This whacky weather has definitely put a spin on my regular weekly activities.

Basically, I knew I was in for a long week when on Monday I was strolling to the Verizon store as a little break from work, and an obsession I currently have with the need for a new phone. I was honestly 10 steps away from the store when I felt a slightly painful "PLOP" on my arm. "What the crap?" I said out loud... and literally "crap" it was of the bird kind, directly on my sweater sleeve. I think I hung up on whomever I was on the phone with, ran to open skies, and set my purse down, only to find that crap had amazingly made in inside my bag, on my wallet, and in the little inside pocket I keep chapstick and gum in. Amazing. I actually applaud that damn pigeon for his/her stunning target skills.

Then it was Tuesday, and a rather chilly Tuesday from what I remember. I had an early morning because I like to get my haircuts before work, so on my way to work, with my glamorous new hairdo I stopped at my most favoritest hot chocolate spot in the valley. (I had to cover the label for protection purposes), this is a quaint little coffee house, with it's own style and I prefer to keep it that way. This was my first stop of the season, and even though I dread fall and winter with every fiber of my being, my "hot" spot has helped me through the forever long dreary season. Special thanks to my peeps at my coffee spot.

Wednesday was just a regular ol' day at the office, nothing much to report.

Then, it was Thursday... A big day for a "Newbie" sales rep at IKON. I had

my first sell! I went out on Thursday morning, got the lease papers signed all by myself (after having co-worker, Eric, tell me exactly what to say), and before I left the head of sales thought I did such a great job he decided to offer me a job. I guess there are just very few of us amazing working women out there and I now have people pleading with me to work for them after only 2 months in the business. Sheesh. Anyway, not only was this my first sell, but it was also the biggest sell of the day, which awards me as BANANA OF THE DAY! I have no idea where the whole "banana" idea came from, but I got to sit with the banana balloon on my desk all day... and I felt like a winner.

Only problem is now the office assumes I know what I'm doing... this is far from actuality.

Fridays are always the best day at work. For some reason no one seems to think it's important to actually "work" on Fridays, so the day consists of co-workers showing up late, taking a couple hours for lunch, and then taking off around 3. I, being the newbie, don't feel quite comfortable enough to take advantage of all these traditions, but I'm sure my day will come. However, since Friday was the last day of our fiscal year our manager let us leave at 2... and no one complained or refused.

Things to look forward to: PUMPKIN CONCRETE at Nielsen's Frozen Custard (only available for the month of October.) I was supposed to refrain from desserts for the month of October, but on October 1st I couldn't fight my craving for the long-awaited pumpkin concrete... I gave in... and it was worth every calorie :)
