I have been at my job for almost a year now, and in all these 11 months I have never run into the bathroom cleaning ladies. Strangely, this week I have walked into the restroom 3 TIMES while the cleaning ladies were hard at work. Great. I can't relieve myself while these ladies are on the floor in the next stall cleaning away, it's weird, and awkward, and did I mention weird? So, instead I find myself hussling down to the third floor to 'borrow' their facilities. Going to the third floor is like using a bathroom in another country... the carpeting is different, the smells are different, and the people..... sooooo different. I'm quite comfortable on the fourth floor, and I've made some friends just from our daily visits to the restroom. We all have designated stalls that we prefer to 'go' in. Only newbies use the middle stall... that one's the worst! Anyway, the third floor women look at me like I'm an intruder. I make it a goal to get in and get out and back to my office without anyone seeing me. It's like a game. You should try it.
So, I guess the lesson we can learn from my experience this week is this: Find out when the cleaning ladies are tending to your restroom, and avoid going at that time. Otherwise, you will inevitably be put in an uncomfortable situation.

i saw your bridals while i was there. beautiful! i'm having mine done over july 4th weekend. i'm nervous.
oh..and you're not weird. i'm the same way about bathrooms. did you ever see the 20/20 special on public restrooms? it said to always use the first stall because almost everyone walks right by it. so, it's the cleanest. =)

Holy cow, I don't know when I have laughed so hard. I think this is my most favorite post ever. You make me laugh because it is SO true at our office as well! Sometimes I go up one floor (to the 17th floor) for soda when our machine is our of dietCoke and they are snotty about it. You are SO hilarious.
