Goal Setting for Fall '08

I've decided to set myself a few goals for this upcoming Fall season. And I figure there is no better way to actually follow through with goals than by posting them for all to see (unless no one is reading, then I'm sure to fail miserably within a few short hours). Also, feel free to join in if you feel so inclined! Not all may apply to you, but for those that do, we should at least suffer together... is what I say. Here are a few of my goals; some will be easier than others. I will start with my minor objectives and finish with my most challenging of goals.

- I will reduce the amount of pictures I take of my dog, and spend time taking pictures of other things, like people... or something.
- There is a certain drink that I sometimes order from Starbucks, that I don't think I'm supposed to drink, so I will stop ordering said 'drink' from this day on.
- I will call my friends more often to catch up with them, rather than read about their lives via blogspot.com.
- To prove to my husband that I do in fact know how... I will cook once (maybe 2 times) a week, and I will try a new recipe (sometimes).
- I will not get pulled over in the construction zone of I-80 for speeding, and if I do get pulled over I will be able to find my registration for the officer... whom I will hate.
- If I decide to make cookies to give away to neighbors and friends, I will in fact give. them. away. instead of eating them myself.
- And lastly, I will LIMIT (not eliminate) my intake of junk food. It's nearly impossible to completely give up on desserts and junk food, so I can't say I won't eat them, it would be a dis-service to myself. I will however challenge myself to actually say "no" on occassion. It couldn't hurt to try.

And now...... let's begin.

Love it! I don't think I will follow through on the whole dog picture taking thing. If you find a good recipe...please share, because I am the worst at cooking, and coming up with things to cook!

You seriously make me laugh so hard. You are too funny. We need to do more GNO's even though there aren't very many of us.:) And we really should go out as couples soon too. Put that on your list, damnit!

I'm literally laughing out loud at this post right now (and my giant belly is moving up and down)... I thought I would give you a visual. This is so funny. I can relate on too much of this. Good luck! Nothing like new goals for a new season! =)

I know what drink you are drinking at Starbucks. I was told by a coworker (who is in a bishopric) that it was ok to drink. I started drinking it like it was water and I was dehydrated in the desert.

THEN, that same coworker came up to me and said, "so I did a little research and X drink is not allowed." i wept and then told him i was mad at him for telling me.

So yes, you should probably stop drinking it.
