The best seat in the house is right by your side...

You know it's meant to be when on your One Year Anniversary you exchange cards with your husband only to find that you've each picked out the same card for the other.

I can't believe it's been a year already. I don't even remember what we did all year, I just know it has been well worth it. And our anniversary celebration on Saturday was wonderful, low key, but so fun to have a whole Saturday to spend together NOT working around the house and yard. We somehow managed to enjoy a FREE dinner at La Caille (where we originally celebrated). Here's a picture of us in post dinner bliss holding our stomachs in from the savory food we just enjoyed.

Sunday was our actual anniversary, so that night we unwrapped the top layer of our wedding cake from 2007 and poured ourselves some sparkling.... milk (it just goes better with chocolate cake). Milk in margarita glasses just doesn't look right... but somehow tasted more wholesome and pure in those fancy shmancy glasses.

I won't be sharing the photo of Jake and me toasting our one year anniversary in our sweats. The angle is all wrong and my face looks weird from laughing so hard... Jake couldn't believe I actually wanted a picture of us holding glasses of milk... classic!

P.S. Our one year old wedding cake was surprisingly moist and quite delightful tasting! Thanks to Dad Anderson for doing his cake preserving research on Google:)
